Yay, 5 days :-)

We'll see, maybe as soon as one can actually play that game, we'll set up a game server for that site.

IGN released two reviews about Crysis. The has been released on 11th Nov.
Quote from: uk.IGN
Crysis is one of, if not the, most stunningly beautiful games we've ever seen. But even beyond that, it's a pretty fantastic shooter. Solid weapons, intelligent enemies, and fairly open level designs mix with nano-suit powers to make this one of the more entertaining ballistic showdowns in some time.

And today the australian ign released one, too.

During your first days with Crysis, you'll spend more time staring at the advanced graphics options menu and various tweak guides on the Net (which are going to see some amazing traffic spikes when Crysis hits shelves) than the lush jungles within the game. I know I did - every time I managed to get a playable frame rate, I'd dick around with the options to try and get more eye candy without sacrificing frame rate. Which never happened.

Also we have a new demo map called Seith's Island in the play-crysis.com-Map-Database.

Have fun reading and playing!

Dear players,

we are happy to tell you that our friends at FilePlanet managed to allow free registration for the Crysis Multiplayer BETA!

What do you need to do to get your private Key? check out fileplanet's crysis page and press the Join the Beta button!

Hint: When signing up for the beta, you agree to the NDA, so do not post any beta-only information into our forums or database, because you are not allowed to do so. Thanks for your understanding.

Update: Seems like all beta keys are gone now. Have fun playing, if you got one :-).

See you ingame,
  Draco

Hello Everyone!

We all know Crysis will be released soon, and I thought, so many people can't play it,
because their hardware is not good enough.

So I decided to create a small project. as soon as Crysis is released, and I bought it, I will start the

What is this? The Crysis Diary will be a "Daily Update on Game Progress"
I will write about every day a small story, add some nice screens, and try to give you the feeling of the game.

Dont worry, that won't happen in the news ^^
there will be an own "Diary Thread" for this project, because of Spoiler Warnings.

Feel free to leave your comments.

Regards, Patch.

[UPDATE] i will start the diary in some days. i cant say the exactly date, but it will be in the next week... wednesday or thursday.

i get a new comp, and i dont wanna show you some crappy low gfx 800x600 screenshots Tongue

The first custom crysis maps arrived for the crysis demo! They have been made by players, nice work mates!

Some may find it difficult to load custom maps, so we have a small tutorial on howto load custom crysis demo maps.

Have fun downloading and playing!

Hello players,

most of you know that only low settings are working (because your PC is detected as beeing to slow by crysis automaticly). The most annoying thing for most users is, that it the most DirectX 10 Features are completly deactivated on Windows XP (which supports DX 9 only).

Scrapy posted in his French blog, how to unlock these and lots of other effects on Windows XP.

We translated this one to English, so have fun tuning!

Edit by Patch: i had the same question, so here the answer. this gfx tuning works also with an non-dx 10 graphics card! so if you have an old dx9 graphics card, this tuning pack works, because this is just an hidden gfx tuning, but no real directx10.

The real directx 10 effects still only work on Windows Vista with an dx10 gfx card.

These gfx tunings lets the directx9 system try to emulate the dx10 effects. It really looks a lot better, there is nice bump mapping, and more 3d water, but it is not the real dx10.
